A Manchester United player and Cameroon international played an active role in his national team’s 3-0 victory over Eswatini
Cameroon played just as much as they needed to secure and maintain their win over Eswatini. Three first-half goals proved more than enough for another victory.
Cameroon wasted no time asserting dominance on home soil. After just five minutes, the breakthrough arrived: a cross into the box found the defender, he tried to save the goal, but it was the opposite - own goal.

The Indomitable Lions nearly doubled their advantage in the 12th minute when Michael Ngadeu rose high to meet a cross, only to see his header crash against the crossbar. Moments later, Eswatini had a rare chance through Figuareido, who managed to get a shot off after a one-on-one duel with a defender, but his weak effort posed little trouble for the Cameroonian keeper.
Cameroon kept pushing, with Vincent Aboubakar going close in the 20th minute — his header drifting just over the bar. The second goal, however, wasn’t far away. In the 25th minute, Mbeumo turned provider, sending in a perfect cross for Georges-Kevin N’Koudou, who calmly slotted home for 2-0.

Three minutes later, the hosts struck again. A flowing move ended with Ebong finishing smartly from close range after receiving a clever headed pass inside the box, extending Cameroon’s lead to 3-0 by the 28th minute.

With a comfortable three-goal lead at halftime, Cameroon shifted down a gear in the second half, prioritizing control and game management over constant attacking pressure.
The flow of the match was briefly interrupted in the 56th minute after a worrying collision involving Arthur Avom. The midfielder clutched his ankle in visible pain, forcing medical staff to rush onto the pitch. Unfortunately, he was unable to continue, leaving Cameroon to make an early substitution.

Just three minutes later, Eswatini nearly found a lifeline. Matsebula delivered a precise aerial ball into the box, where Mabalesa controlled it brilliantly on his chest, only for Nagida to produce a vital block that diverted the shot for a corner kick.
As the game moved into its final stages, Cameroon continued to dictate possession but without the same intensity shown in the first half. In the 82nd minute, Namaso tried his luck during a scramble inside the area, yet the Eswatini goalkeeper reacted superbly with quick reflexes to keep the ball out.
