The experienced Englishman lost his place in Pep Guardiola's squad, while AC Milan don't want to keep him either

Even at the beginning of the year, it was pretty clear that the end of Kyle Walker's spell with Man City was unavoidable. The Cityzens loaned him to AC Milan, as the Italian giants needed an experienced full-back. At the same time, Walker probably expected to revive his career at San Siro, but it didn't happen.

Six months after joining the Rossoneri, his loan in Italy and time at Etihad Stadium are set to end.

According to sources in Turkey, Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce are seriously interested in bringing the Englishman, who will soon enter his last year of contract with the Cityzens.

The Turkish side has reportedly sent a bid to Manchester, though the amount is unknown. Either way, it won't be some extraordinary sum considering Walker's age (35) and his contract status. On the other hand, the player allegedly demanded at least a two-year deal.

Even though he had decent playing time in Milan, Walker failed to stand out in the general mediocrity of the Rossoneri's squad in one of the poorest seasons in this club's recent history. Hence, he's failed to meet expectations, and parting ways seems inevitable.

Walker moved to Man City from Tottenham in 2017 and won as many as 17 trophies with the Cityzens despite being trophyless before joining the Etihad crew. He made 319 appearances with the Cityzens and scored six goals.

At 35, he has nothing more to offer to Pep Guardiola, but he may be good enough to Jose Mourinho.
