The Law Enforcers went into the match on the back of a 100 per cent start to the season, winning all their first two matches to kick off their title defense in style.

Gideon Starlets, on the other hand, had suffered two defeats in their first two matches in the top flight, and their woes were deepened by Police.

David Vijago's charges began the match on a high, pinning Gideon in their own half and dominating play with quick exchange of passes that eventually resulted in first-half goals from Margaret Kunihira, Lorna Nyabuto and Zaina Namuleme.

In the second half, Ugandan import Kunihira added a brace to complete her hat trick as Nyabuto added one to register her first brace of the season.

With the win, Police are now the league leaders after improving their goal difference, while Gideon will have to wait longer for their first point in the league.

Kayole Starlets 2-0 Kisumu All Starlets

At Kasarani Annex, Kayole Starlets battled out to a 2-0 win over Kisumu All Starlets to secure their second win in top-flight football.

The league newbies had to dig deep to secure the three points after they were held to a goalless draw in the first half.

In the closing stanza, substitute Linda Kihara was on the end of Drailer Salome’s cross to break the deadlock in the 61st minute before red-hot Ashley Shilwatso continued with her impressive start to the season by adding Kayole’s second in the 83rd minute to take her season tally to four goals.

Ulinzi Starlets 1-0 Zetech Sparks

Ulinzi Starlets also secured victory after edging varsity side Zetech Sparks 1-0 courtesy of a 63rd-minute own goal in a match played at the Zetech University, Mang’u campus.

The win took the military side to second on the league table with seven points, two less than their rivals, Kenya Police Bullets FC.

Kibera Soccer Women 0-0 Trinity Starlets

In the other match of the day, Kibera Soccer Women once again failed to secure a win and will have to wait longer for their maiden victory of the campaign after they were held to a goalless draw by Trinity Starlets in a match played at the Marist International University in Karen.
