In a statement released across the club’s social media platforms, Gor Mahia confirmed that match tickets will retail at Ksh300 for regular, Ksh1,000 for VIP, and Ksh3,000 for VVIP fans.

Supporters have been urged to make their purchases through langopass.com or by dialling *265*25#, with the club emphasising the importance of early acquisition due to the expected massive turnout.

“Mashemeji Derby crunch tie will be going down next Sunday at Nyayo Stadium. Grab your ticket at langopass.com or dial *265*25#,” the club stated, signalling full readiness for the showdown.

The announcement comes barely a day after the long-awaited confirmation of the derby date, an issue that had sparked concern among fans following multiple disruptions.

Initially slated for Sunday, 30 November at Kasarani Stadium, the fixture faced a series of setbacks due to venue unavailability.

It was first moved to Saturday, 29 November, before being postponed altogether after Gor Mahia failed to secure a suitable and safe venue to host the high-risk encounter.

On Wednesday, the club finally ended the uncertainty, revealing that the derby had been rescheduled to Sunday, 7 December and will now be played at Nyayo National Stadium.

As the eternal rivalry edges closer, Gor Mahia will be aiming to stretch their dominance in the fixture to a record 34 victories and reinforce their recent historical command over AFC Leopards.

Last season, however, the derby failed to spark its usual fireworks, with both legs ending in stalemates, first a goalless draw at Nyayo Stadium before Leopards battled to salvage a point in the return clash held at Raila Odinga Stadium.
