Newly-promoted Football Kenya Federation Division One outfit Kiminini Combined have strengthened their team by signing eleven players ahead of the new season.
Famously known as Bazuu,Kiminini, earned promotion after flooring GFE 105 FC 2-0 in an enticing FKF Western Division 2 match staged at Otimong Primary School grounds in Busia.
The mass recruitment was necessary after the club parted ways with scores of players following their elevation to the third tier.
Furthermore, with the nature of the league, it was necessary for the club to opt for experience as they map a path to National Super League.
Coach Peter Wanyama, said the team majored on players who will have an instant impact on Bazuu's hunt for second tier football.
"Our plan is to grace NSL next season, we had done the recruitment drive carefully to get the best who can help us compete for the league," said Wanyama, a Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association boys national football winner with Solidarity Boys.
Some of players set to be unveiled by Kitale based club include midfielder Jonathan Lodaket, youngster Brian Masinde and striker Levy Kipsang all linking up from fourth tier sides.
Others who have inked deals with the club are towering midfield maestro Immanuel Ekisa, midfielder Kelvin Efumbi and Kevin Wanyonyi joining from Compel FC.
Experienced defender Kefa Ogato, Evans Egesa Sande, Duncan Himes, Collins Angolo and striker Allan Kasembeli complete the blues list of transfer acquisitions.
"The signings are exciting to say the least, we have blended young blood with experience and with the calibre of coaches at their disposal, we expect nothing less than promotion," he stated
The club has organized two preseason matches on Sunday at The Ndura Sports Complex, Kitale against Ndura Academy and fourth tier outfit Wisa FC.
