Kimanzi has compared Lawrence Juma's forward style of play to that of former Kenyan international Titus Mulama.
Former Harambee Stars head coach Francis Kimanzi has lauded Sofapaka midfielder Lawrence Juma for his direct style of play and compared him to former Kenyan international, Titus Mulama.
Kimanzi and Mulama worked together both at club and national team level with the latter starring for Harambee Stars many years before he called it a day in 2012 after over a decade in Stars' colours.
Speaking during the Radull Live show on Saturday afternoon, Kimanzi was full of praise for the once speedy Mulama. He added that the country no longer has players with the quality that the former Mathare United maestro possessed.
“Titus was a quality player. He was an exceptional talent. If you compare him with other players he was not strong but he was a quick decision-maker, a one-touch player. It is difficult to find a player with such mobility, his work rate was always at 200%. He used to cover ground like N'golo Kante, always moving, one-touch player, and zero contact,” Kimanzi stated.
Hopefully more to come.

Kimanzi went on to compare the two players and revealed that he liked using Juma while in charge of the national team because just like Mulama, he was a special player.
“He was a direct player, loved to play forward always and we do not see many of such players these days who can play and move…..Lawrence Juma does that at the moment, he loves to play forward in any situation and that is why I had a lot of support for him when I was in the national team because they are special players,” he added.
Juma has currently established himself as a key player for the national team.
