Sammy Njuguna is the new Kibera Black Stars head coach.

Njoroge succeeds Evans Ogutu, who handled the club last season that saw the outfit struggle for the better part of the second leg.

Njoroge will be deputized by Ogutu and Moses Onyango Gosege will who previously worked with for six years at Division two outfit Ligi Ndogo SC.

The CAF B coaching license holder is optimistic of taking the club to new heights after years of unsuccessful promotion attempts.

He said he was ready for the new challenge ahead of him even as he faces a task of first rebuilding the team that lost scores of players after the conclusion of the past season.

"I am ready for this new path, I know it won't be a smooth journey but am ready to share my knowledge and vision with the boys, “he said.

Kibera Black Stars were faced with dire financial constrains last season that resulted to mass players exodus.

The exit of the players dented ultimately dented their promotion hopes.

Despite being in contention for top flight football promotion at one point in the 2022-2023, Kibera faded off and would finish fourteenth with 32 points.

Njoroge together with his experienced technical bench are expected to assemble a competitive team ahead of the new season as they target promotion to the top tier.

Black stars are expected to kick off the new season against the newly-promoted Nairobi United at the Ligi Ndogo grounds.
