Harambee Stars midfielder Duke Abuya has completed a permanent transfer to Tanzanian giants Young Africans (Yanga) from FKF Premier League champions Kenya Police FC.
Abuya spent the past season with the Tanzanian champions, where he impressed, prompting the club to seek his services from Police on a permanent basis.

As confirmed by Yanga through a short clip on their Facebook page, the 31-year-old has signed a two-year contract that will keep him at the club until July 2027.
Since joining Yanga in July 2024, the former Kariobangi Sharks midfielder established himself as a key member of the squad, in the end helping the club to win five trophies.
He was a fan favourite among club fans in his maiden season, breaking into the team's starting eleven and proving reliable even at crucial times of the campaign.
Abuya’s transfer is also likely to increase the financial fortunes of Police FC, who had initially pocketed about Ksh6.5 million from his one-year loan deal.
With the transfer now permanent, Police are expected to have pocketed more than what they earned for the loan deal, although the exact figure is yet to be disclosed.
The amount will add to the Ksh5 million the club is supposed to receive for winning the FKF Premier League and the Ksh12.9 million they will receive for participating in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
Should Police qualify for the group stage of Africa’s premier club competition, they will pocket Ksh90.3 million and even more in the latter stages of the competition.
Last season, Abuya helped Yanga to reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League and win their fourth consecutive league title, CRDB Bank Federation Cup, Toyota Cup, Community Shield, and the Union Cup.
According to Yanga President Hersi Said, the club's main objective in the upcoming season is to once again reach the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
Apart from Abuya, Yanga are also keen on extending the contract of former Gor Mahia midfielder Khalid Aucho.
