The defender will be a free agent in two-months time

Free-spending Kenya Police FC are courting promising Kakamega Homeboyz centre back Sylvester Owino.

Police who are active in the transfer window are said to have been closely monitoring the defender who has two months remaining in his contract with Homeboyz.

The law enforcers have already raided the Homeboyz base once from the time the window was opened and left with David Okoth who finished the concluded season with eleven goals and nine assists.

Additionally, the outfit, that will be clocking its second season in the top flight in the new term has acquired the duo of Baraka Badi and Reagan Otieno from KCB with Patilah Omoto arriving at the club from Kariobangi Sharks.

Impeccable sources close to Owino who has been on demand since making his top flight bow two years ago indicate that Police are luring the player to not only join the club but the Service.

"Police have contacted the player and are offering him permanent employment. He is still studying the offer and is likely to make up his mind after the General Elections," said a source who sought anonymity.

The Sammy "Pamzo" Omollo coached side is not likely to have a smooth sail in the search for the player's signature as it is understood he is a solid offer from an unknown club in Europe.

Owino attended trials in Portugal in November last year and according to a reliable source, he is likely to head there in the near future.
