Tusker, who faltered in the decisive stages of last season and finished fourth despite a strong start, have made winning the title their top priority this year
Tusker FC striker Erick Kapaito says he is ready to shoulder the responsibility of replacing departed forward Ryan Ogam by delivering crucial goals, as the Brewers set their sights on reclaiming the FKF Premier League crown in the new season.
The two-time 'Golden Boot' winner rejoined Tusker last month after a tough spell in Tanzania with Namungo FC.

The former Kariobangi Sharks and FC Talanta man endured a frustrating year abroad, and his return home marks a chance to rediscover the prolific form that once made him the league’s most feared striker.
At the Ruaraka-based side, Kapaito steps into the shoes of Ogam, who earned a move to Austrian side Wolfsberger AC after a sensational campaign.
Ogam struck 15 goals in just 17 league appearances before injury cut his season short.
Many believe he was on course to set a new scoring benchmark in the Kenyan top flight.
Speaking ahead of the new campaign, Kapaito expressed satisfaction with his pre-season preparations and revealed that his personal goal is to surpass the 12 league goals he scored for Tusker in the 2023/24 season.
“They have really motivated me, to be honest. I worked hard in pre-season to build momentum, and those five goals I scored during preparations have given me even more belief. My ambition is to match and then improve on my previous tally with Tusker,” Kapaito told Telecomasia.
Tusker, who faltered in the decisive stages of last season and finished fourth despite a strong start, have made winning the title their top priority this year.
Kapaito believes the squad is well-equipped to meet that target.
“I know my abilities, and I believe I can deliver. As a team, we are ready for the season, and the target has been set clearly from the beginning: to win the league. I want to contribute with goals and help the team achieve that,” he said.
The Brewers were among the busiest clubs in the transfer market, bringing in 14 new signings.
The other new recruits are; Issa Rashid Lumumba, Vincent Otieno Owino, Dennis Ochieng Oalo, Cliff Omondi Oruko, Ronny Otieno, Yakeen Mutheli, Curtis Amos Wekesa, Eugene Ikutwa, Francis Oduor, Brandon Obiero, Douglas Nyasosi Manga, David Polepole, and George Ochieng.
