The match kicks off at 3PM EAT

The two sides have had a low key start to the new FKF Premier League season and are tied on four points a piece from their past three games.

Like Homeboyz, KCB has recorded a win, a loss and a draw in the previous fixtures with the former scoring more goals to put them ahead on the log standings.

While Homeboyz rallied to pick a 1-1 draw against champions Gor Mahia in their most recent outing at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday, KCB FC were held to a barren draw by visiting Bandari FC at Kasarani Stadium on the same day.

Inconsistency is the hallmark of their campaigns so far.

"We're a work in progress," Homeboyz coach Patrick Odhiambo told Mozzart Sport.

"There's a great deal of improvement in the team and very soon the results will be more consistent," the former Muhoroni Youth coach added.

The two teams have met 12 times previously with Homeboyz boasting a slight advantage over the Bankers.

The record stands at four wins, three loses and four draws.

"As you already know football is about the present. How you prepare for today's game is all that matters, not the past record," Odhiambo said.

Having been a pacesetter for the better part of last season only to fizzle out and lose steam towards the finish line, KCB was expected to have a better and more consistent stab at the title this season, but the results so far betrays this.

The Bankers even changed coaches with veteran Zedekiah "Zico" Otieno being jettisoned for more youthful and enterprising Bernard Mwalala, still, the Den has not been getting the results they envisaged.

Currently placed 11th and 12th respectively on the 18-team table, a win could propel either side to top five on seven points.
