The experienced tactician rejoins Homeboyz after a brief spell with Sofapaka
Kakamega Homeboyz have appointed seasoned tactician Edward Manoah as their new head coach, marking yet another return for one of the club's longest-serving figures.
Manoah takes over following the departure of Patrick Odhiambo and has already begun preparations for the 2026-2027 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season.

Confirming the appointment, Homeboyz Team Manager Boniface Imbenzi revealed to Mozzart Sport that the experienced coach officially assumed his duties on Monday morning as the club kicked off its pre-season programme.
"I can confirm that Manoah is our new head coach. He has already begun his duties this morning," Imbenzi told Mozzart Sport.
The appointment marks Manoah's fifth spell in charge of the Kakamega-based side, further underlining his long-standing relationship with the club.
He first joined Homeboyz in 2013 from Vihiga Bullets, guiding the club during its formative years before departing.
He returned for a second stint in 2022 after the dismissal of Bernard Mwalala and was again called upon in 2023, stepping in from his role as technical director following the exit of John Baraza.
Ahead of the 2024-2025 season, Manoah once again took charge after Patrick Odhiambo left to join KCB, continuing his role as the club's trusted troubleshooter whenever a coaching vacancy arose.
The CAF A-licensed tactician now returns after a brief spell with 2009 FKF Premier League champions Sofapaka, where he had signed a short-term three-month contract.
Before joining Batoto Ba Mungu, Manoah had also served at Mara Sugar, further adding to his extensive coaching résumé in Kenyan football.
His latest appointment comes at a crucial time as Homeboyz seek to mount a stronger challenge for major honours after an inconsistent campaign last season.
The Mozzart Bet-backed side finished sixth in the 18-team FKF Premier League standings and will be hoping Manoah's experience and familiarity with the club can help transform them into genuine title contenders.
With pre-season preparations now underway, Manoah's immediate task will be to assemble a competitive squad capable of challenging for the club's first-ever FKF Premier League title since earning promotion to the top flight.
