Despite being rested early in the first half of their 1-1 draw against Posta Rangers, Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder Hillary Juma is set to travel with the team for Sunday’s clash with Muhoroni Youth.

Juma was withdrawn in the 20th minute for Kevin Amwayi after feeling discomfort on his left knee.

The creative midfielder missed their 1-0 loss to the Kariobangi Sharks played at the Kasarani Annex due to the same issue but was cleared to feature against Rangers.

However, all did not go according to plan as the youthful player requested to be substituted on Thursday, casting doubt on whether he would be fit enough to play this weekend.

However, Juma says he is ready to contest for game time when Homeboyz visit Muhoroni this Sunday in their backyard.

Juma picked up the knee injury in their 1-0 win over Nzoia Sugar last month.

“All indications point out my inclusion in the 18-man squad for the game. I was withdrawn early in our game against Rangers as a precaution, as the playing surface and the conditions weren’t good. I am looking forward to getting minutes on Sunday,” said the former Mombasa Elite midfielder, who is commonly known as Seba.

Should the midfielder pass the fitness test, he will come up against his former employer, who joined Homeboyz in February from Muhoroni.

Homeboyz will hit the road to Muhoroni on Sunday, hoping to return to Kakamega with three points in the bag.

The Mozzart Bet-powered club has been struggling for positive results this season, as the Patrick Odhiambo-coached side has three wins, a similar number of draws, and three losses.

They play Muhoroni, who lost 3-0 to Bidco United in their last game and haven't won in the last four matches.
