The Brazilian is already at the exit door of the Red Devils, and among the many clubs interested, the Milanese side stands out
Brazilian midfield powerhouse Casemiro is set to become one of the summer’s most sought-after free agents. The former Real Madrid star, now at Manchester United, will see his contract expire in June, opening the door for a move elsewhere.
According to Globo Esporte outlet, Inter Milan are among the clubs tracking him closely: “Casemiro has been courted by top-tier European clubs, such as Inter in Italy, but also by clubs in less prestigious leagues, such as those in Saudi Arabia and the United States. He and his family are weighing up their next moves, aware that this could be the last major contract of his career,” reports FCInter1908.it.
Born in 1992, Casemiro turned 34 on 23 February and is widely expected to leave Old Trafford this summer. During his time at Real Madrid from 2015 to 2022, he made 336 appearances, scored 31 goals, and collected three La Liga titles along with five Champions League trophies.

At Manchester United, he has featured in 152 games, scored 24 goals, and helped the club lift both the FA Cup and League Cup. After four seasons in England, both he and the club appear ready to part ways.
Discussions have reportedly included Serie A, with Casemiro speaking with former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric, now a key figure in Milan’s midfield. Despite that, it is Inter who seem most eager to secure his services.
With his wealth of experience and leadership, he would be a major addition to any Italian squad, and Inter — led by president Beppe Marotta, a master of free transfers — are well-positioned to make an offer.
Financially, a move to Serie A would likely require Casemiro to adjust expectations. Currently earning €18 million net per season at Manchester United, a club in Italy could offer a two-year deal in the region of €5–6 million per season — a figure more in line with his age and the stage of his career.
