Inter a favorite for Scudetto, Barella among top three midfielders in Europe

After a few Milan slips, and a convincing derby win over Rossoneri, Inter Milan is at the top of the Serie A, which was confirmed with the comfortable win over Genova on Sunday. The current difference between them and their eternal rivals is only four points, but after an easy game with strugglers Parma, Inter awaits Atalanta, while Milan has an easier game in the schedule, at least on paper.

The title race is still very much on, but considering the current form and a number of quality players in the team, Antonio Conte’s men are favorites. Antonio Cassano thinks the same.

„Inter are in the race for the Scudetto only. They’ve been eliminated from Europe and the Coppa Italia. If they don’t win the title it’s a failure“ said former Inter player Antonio Cassano to Bobo TV. 

Nerazzurri are on a roll, and Genoa's win was their sixth in eight games, with the other two being draws with Roma and Udinese. They have won against Juve and Milano and one player has stood out to former Italian boss Fabio Capello.

Apart from Inter and Milan, only Juventus is outside looking in, but others are just too far. Former Real Madrid player talked (again) about Juve and Cristiano Ronaldo, stating that the marriage between the two will be a failure if they don’t win the Champions League.
