Just a few hours after their city rival, the Nerazzurri pulled off the exact same comeback, bouncing back from a 2-0 deficit

As strange as it gets - Inter Milan celebrated a 3-2 home win against rock-bottom Monza after coming from behind in the exact same fashion as AC Milan did a few hours prior at Lecce.

Simone Inzaghi's side shockingly conceded two first-half goals. Alessandro Nesta's team was on the verge of the biggest possible upset as Birindelli and Balde found the back of the net to stun the rival and their fans at the iconic Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

Those two classy goals didn't prove to be enough for the strugglers, with Arnautovic pegging one back before the half-time interval.

It was probably the crucial step towards the resurrection for the home side, which restored the stalemate thanks to Calhanoglou's perfect shot midway through the second half, 2-2.

It took Milan 13 minutes to come from 2-0 down, and Internazionale needed 31 minutes to do the same. The crucial goal carried a bit of controversy with itself, though, as Lautaro Martinez opted for a header that stayed on the palm of the keeper's hand, but the referee said it was over the line.

Not more than an inch decided the tie and, subsequently, affected the entire title race, allowing Inter to restore a four-point lead ahead of runners-up Napoli.
