Reports from France suggest that even thou he was reinstated into the first team, Mbappe won't renew with PSG

Whoever thought that Kylian Mbappe saga will soon be over, was wrong. Until September 1st, when the transfer window in Europe will end, there will be speculations about his stay/departure from PSG. Even the usually reliable sources in both Spain and France have contrary reports regarding the status of PSG’s striker, after he was reinstated to the first team. Some say that Real will not make any moves in 2023, while others say it could still happen, since the Spanish giants have only one recognizable number 9 – Joselu. But let’s start from the beginning – Mbappe’s comeback to the first team.

Contrary to many reports, L’Equipe claims that even thou he is back, it doesn’t mean that he will sign any contract extension with the Parisians. On Sunday, it was reported that Mbappe agreed to a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain, but with the agreement that at the end of the current season he will move to Real Madrid for a certain compensation. But the French newspaper, referring to its sources in the club, writes that the agreement is, however, somewhat different. Kylian Mbappe will indeed soon play for PSG again, but the details of the current contract will not change. Instead, Mbappe has agreed to renounce certain bonuses from his final year at Paris Saint-Germain, which could be between 100 and 150 million euros. This way, the Frenchman would ensure that the club is not left empty-handed when he leaves, as well as that the parting takes place in a friendly tone.

And this decision, if it’s true, is also logical, if we look at another piece of news coming from Spain, which says that if the French star renews with PSG, Real Madrid would definitely close the doors of the Santiago Bernabeu. Popular TV show El Chiringuito, who broke the news, also added that that Kylian Mbappe will not sign for Real Madrid this summer and that Florentino Perez has finished doing business on the transfer market, after acquiring Kepa from Chelsea on a loan. We will find out if this was true in 16 days.
