The Brazilian signed for Al Hilal in a transfer which costed the Saudi's club 90 million euros

The whole football world was waiting for this information and today it arrived - Neymar is officially the new football player of Al Hilal, and as of today officially the highest paid player in Arab football! PSG paid 222,000,000 euros for him in the summer of 2017, which is still an untouchable record today. Six years later, Al Hilal set aside 90,000,000 euros for the purchase, plus bonuses, which makes the Brazilian a unique case in football history! After undergoing a medical in Paris on Monday, Neymar and his representatives completed all the paperwork and signed a two-year contract which, as announced, should earn him a whopping 320,000,000 euros.

Now the turbulent relationship between Neymar and Paris Saint-Germain has definitely been put to an end. After six years of ‘madness’, which did not bring anything to the Parisians, apart from a few domestic trophies, the French champion said goodbye to the Brazilian in a nice tone, saying that a "club legend" had left the Park of the Princes. Even Nasser Al Khelaifi, a man who had a "hot-cold" relationship with Neymar for a long time, said that he would never forget the day the Brazilian came to Paris and sent him a thank you note for everything he had done. And, realistically, it's not much. It’s realistic to assume that PSG would win as much as they did even without Neymar or Lionel Messi. A couple of French titles and cups, one Champions League final, that's all. Al Hilal is not stopping here and is building a team that could comfortably compete with the best clubs in Europe. Before Neymar, Malcom arrived at the club from Riyadh for 60,000,000 euros, Ruben Neves for 55,000,000, Sergej Milinković Savić for 40,000,000, Kalidou Koulibaly for 23,000,000 euros, and Sky Sport recently announced that the third official letter was sent to Fulham for Aleksandar Mitrović in the amount of 53,500,000 euros!

Neymar's departure from Paris has been a hot topic for the football public practically since the first year of his arrival in PSG. Last week, Neymar received a clear signal from Luis Enrique and Luis Campos that he can go as soon as possible, which only accelerated his transfer to Al Hilal. His stay in Paris was marked by injuries and numerous controversies. One of the biggest is certainly that he always got injured at the time of his sister's birthday and when there is Carnival in Brazil, which is why he was often the target of criticism. However, he has some serious injuries behind him. Already in the first season, more precisely in February, he injured his metatarsal bone, a few days before the crucial match against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Last February, he seriously injured his ankle, after which he was often criticized by the club's supporters. His stay in Paris was far from a fairy tale.

In total, he missed 119 games and played only 173, with 118 goals and 77 assists. His influence on the game in the key matches of the Champions League was almost negligible and because of that, he never felt the love of PSG fans, who wanted more. He showed the best version of himself at the Final Eight tournament of the elite competition in Lisbon, against Atalanta and Leipzig, when he led PSG to the only final in which Bayern Munich was better. Despite everything, PSG gave him the label of legend.
