Inter's defender was honest about Simone Inzaghi's constant talk during the games
Winning both Italian cups and finishing second in Europe certainly makes Inter a favorite to win Serie A this season, along with teams like current champions Napoli and Juventus. And the Nerazzurri started this season well with both wins in the opening matches against Monza and against Cagliari. And while Lautaro Martinez started the season well with three goals in two matches, last night it was Denzel Dumfries who opened the scoring. The Dutchman used the opportunity in the 21st minute and banged his first goal of the season.
After the game he spoke about the Serie A title and confirmed that it is expected of Inter to get into a serious battle for the first spot. He was also asked about coach Simone Inzaghi and his very vocal style of coaching. Inzaghi almost always loses his voice, since he is constantly yelling instructions to the players, which can sometimes be annoying. And Dumfries was quite honest about that.
“The coach is always very excited on the side of the pitch. He speaks a lot, sometimes I don’t listen, because it is too much! I know him now, it’s good, he motivates me to attack, so I like it” he said to DAZN after the game.
Fortunately for the Dutchman, the teams change sides at halftime, and he can hear his coach only 45 minutes during the game.
“I am very happy when we change sides, very happy!” said Dumfries, not hiding his happiness. And luckily for him, Inzaghi doesn’t mind these things, as long as his players do what they say. Pep Guardiola is among those kind of managers. He is constantly giving instructions on the pitch, and against Real Madrid, he got on Kevin De Bruyne’s nerves so much, that the Belgian was caught on camera shouting at Pep: ‘Shut up, shut up’. But there are others, like Thomas Tuchel, who are not so easy going, so when he gives instructions (and he does, a lot), nobody is saying anything.
