Even though CR7's first-born son is only 14, eligible national teams - including one from Africa - will soon start battling for his allegiance

Normally, it would be too early to start luring a 14-year-old player to represent your national team. However, when that kid is Cristiano Ronaldo's son, any moment of waiting could mean you're too late. And when the boy - on top of everything - has five options to choose from, then everything's set for a fierce battle.

Yes, you read it right - the 14-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr can opt for one of five available national team alternatives! Firstly, there's logically Portugal, as his father's homeland, the country CR7 represented, and probably the team with the biggest chances to "snatch" the youngster.

Nevertheless, the competition is as serious as it gets. Cristiano Jr was born in San Diego, California, USA, so he can opt for the national team currently led by Mauricio Pochettino, whose aspirations and ambitions are extremely high, as they are even aiming for the World Cup title in 2026.

Then there's Spain, as the boy has lived there for three years before the age of ten. La Furia Roja is one of the most powerful national teams in the world at the moment and, as the European and Olympic Champion, represents a very tempting alternative.

The same goes for England. Ronaldo Jr has lived there for five years during his father's spells with Man United, which makes the Three Lions another alluring option. England has one of the most talented squads in the world, so it wouldn't be surprising if it was the young forward's choice.

Finally, the country with the slightest chances, but still in the mix, is Cape Verde, as CR7's great-grandmother was from this African country. Yet, even those who believe in fairytales would hardly give the Blue Sharks much hope.

Cristiano Jr is currently playing for Al-Nassr's U-15 team, and he's been regularly busting nets, proving that he'll be ready to test himself in senior football in a few years. Now, nobody can tell whether he can reach his father's heights, but one thing's certain - once young Ronaldo becomes a professional, he'll have an important decision to make because these five national teams will be waiting, lined up in front of his door.
