The historic Belgian club confirmed the signing on Saturday after the 21-year-old Kenya international successfully completed his medical and signed his contract.

"RFC Liège is pleased to announce the arrival of Ryan Ogam as its second signing of this summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old Kenyan international striker joins Les Sang et Marine on loan with an option to buy from Wolfsberger AC of Austria.

Ryan Ogam successfully passed his medical examination this Saturday before signing his contract and joining RFC Liège.

The club welcomes Ryan and wishes him every success in the blood and navy jersey," the club said in a statement.

The move marks another significant step in Ogam's rapidly rising career, just a year after he secured a dream switch to Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC.

Although opportunities with the Austrian club were limited, the Kenyan forward gained valuable top-flight experience.

He made his Bundesliga debut on 4 October, 2025, coming off the bench in the 75th minute against Grazer AK and playing 15 minutes.

His second and final first-team appearance came against SKU Amstetten, where he was handed a starting role before being substituted at halftime.

In total, Ogam featured for 60 minutes across two senior appearances.

The forward's journey to Europe has been one of steady progression.

He developed through the youth ranks at Galaxy, Sunrise and UEFA Despanol before making his senior breakthrough with Rainbow FC in Kenya's National Super League (NSL).

His impressive performances earned him a move to Tusker in 2024, where he quickly established himself as one of the FKF Premier League's deadliest strikers.

He scored 15 goals in just 17 appearances, attracting interest from clubs abroad.

Despite suffering a knee injury that kept him out for several months in early 2025, Ogam returned strongly and rediscovered his scoring touch.

He also starred for Harambee Stars during the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), where he scored decisive goals against Morocco and Zambia while earning Man of the Match honours.

He could make his unofficial debut for RFC Liège as early as 22 July when the Belgian club faces Sint Truiden in a pre-season friendly, as he begins a new chapter in Belgian football.
