The Red Warriors confirmed the signing through their official Instagram page, unveiling the 33-year-old striker from Japanese outfit Kamatamare Sanuki.

"Welcome Dunga. We are delighted to announce the signing of Ismael Salim Dunga from Kamatamare Sanuki,” the club announced.

Dunga’s latest move adds yet another destination to an adventurous career that has seen him ply his trade across three continents since departing the Kenyan Premier League in 2015.

The striker, who began his career in Kenya with stints at Congo United, Sony Sugar, Tusker FC and Nakumatt FC, has now represented 11 clubs abroad, taking his total to 15 outfits.

His first overseas experience was in Greece with Acharnaikos in the 2016–17 season, where he scored three goals in seven appearances.

He later had a brief spell in Morocco with Raja Beni Mellal before switching to Zambia, where he featured for City of Lusaka and Napsa Stars between 2017 and 2018.

Albania proved to be one of his most consistent chapters, as he spent three years in the Kategoria Superiore.

Dunga turned out for Luftëtari (2018–2019), netting seven goals in 24 matches, before joining KF Tirana (2019–2020) where he scored four times in 14 outings.

He later moved to Vllaznia Shkodër for the 2020–21 campaign, continuing his scoring form with four goals in just seven appearances.

In 2021, Dunga made a high-profile switch to Asia, signing with Japanese J1 League side Sagan Tosu, where he featured nine times. The same year, he was loaned to Kamatamare Sanuki, a move that eventually became permanent.

His Asian sojourn also took him to Hong Kong, where he represented Sham Shui Po, scoring six goals in 16 appearances, and Indonesia, where he played for RANS Nusantara, finding the net twice in seven outings.

Now, with a wealth of experience gathered across Europe, Africa and Asia, Dunga embarks on his latest adventure in Malaysia, bringing his trademark physical presence and finishing ability to the Kelantan Red Warriors’ frontline that currently sits 15th in the 16-team league standings with a point after playing just a match since the 2025/26 season commenced.
