Shilwatso, playing in her first season at the club, netted a brace in what was a frenetic first half at the TFF Centre Kigamboni, to wrap an impressive campaign for the hosts, who were declared league champions for the fifth time last month.
The former BeÅŸiktaÅŸ midfielder got her first goal in the 33rd minute to make the scoreline 2-0, after Dotto Evarist had scored the opener in the 10th minute.
Shilwatso would later add her second goal in the 40th minute, as Simba bossed proceedings in the second half to end their season on a high.
Plagued by a late surge in injuries, Simba only had Shilwatso and fellow midfielder Fasila Adhiambo among its star-studded contingent available, with all of: Jentrix Shikangwa, Corazone Aquino, Elizabeth Wambui, and Rose Ingosi missing.
That did not affect Simba however, as they went on to win their 19th game of the season, and in the process, remained invincible.
Simba, who drew thrice, amassed a total of 60 points, which were 10 clear of first runners-up Yanga Princess.
In addition to achieving an unbeaten season for their second tim, having done that in the 2020/2021 season, Simba also led the league with the best defensive record, conceding only eight times, while scoring 52 goals.
The next challenge for the new league champions will be at the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal qualifiers reported to take place in Rwanda.
