Bayern Munich star is set to leave Allianz Arena and the interested parties from the Premier League have already formed a line

Leroy Sane's episode in Munich seems to be over, as his contract expires next June, and Bayern have no intention of extending it. He joined the Bavarians back in 2020 from Man City as a major reinforcement, paid €49 million. However, according to Bild, his annual salary of around €15 million became a too-heavy burden for Bayern, especially after the arrival of Michael Olise, who has turned out to be a terrific signing so far.

Hence, Sane will soon become a free agent, and this has already drawn the attention of several clubs, among which Arsenal and Man United stand out. On one hand, Mikel Arteta has already cooperated with the German at Man City while he was Pep Guardiola's assistant, and it could be an ace up the Spaniard's sleeve. Bukayo Saka does not have an adequate substitution in the current Gunners' squad, and Sane would fit in perfectly to fill that gap.

On the other hand, the Red Devils want to ensure reinforcements for the new boss, Ruben Amorim, and the 28-year-old has been one of the names on their wishlist, alongside Chelsea's Cristopher Nkunku.

Considering that the winger officially becomes a free agent in more than seven months, more sides will undoubtedly join the race for the established player who costs nothing. Still, Sane's injury history is not promising, given that he's had as many as eight absences since the beginning of the previous season. Nevertheless, it obviously does not represent too much of an obstacle for the Premier League giants.
