Real Madrid's star left the pitch against Braga two minutes before the final whistle

Real Madrid will assess Jude Bellingham ahead of this weekend's El Clasico against Barcelona after the midfielder was withdrawn late on in their Champions League win at Braga on Tuesday night with some groin discomfort.

Bellingham suffered an injury and was taken off in the 89 minute with Lucas Vazquez replacing him.

Therefore, it's uncertain if he'll be fit to face Barcelona in Saturday's showdown. According to Spanish media, the plan is to allow Bellingham to recheck his condition on Thursday after the rest.

Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti said after the game:

"He's fine. His adductor was a bit overloaded because the pitch was quite soft, but it's nothing major.

"He'll recover in time. He's fatigued like everyone, but that's normal."

Bellingham had doubled Madrid's lead in the second half with a well-taken effort from just inside the Braga penalty area. That goal was the 20-year-old's 11th this season for his new side in only his 12th match.
