The Italian club has already made contact with the Olympique Marseille player, and they are set to do so again in the upcoming transfer window
Juventus, two-time Champions League champions, have reportedly set their sights on Mason Greenwood as one of their key targets for the upcoming summer window, following his impressive scoring form with Marseille.
The Turin side are believed to be considering a move for the former Manchester United attacker as part of a broader squad rebuild. With major changes expected, the 24-year-old has emerged as a priority name on their shortlist. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus officials have tracked his development since 2024 and now see him as a leading candidate to spearhead their attack.

The Bianconeri are eager to inject new life into the squad as they aim to return to consistent Serie A title contention. Greenwood is viewed as a statement signing, someone capable of flourishing within the tactical demands of Italian football, especially with the 2026–27 season in mind.
Since arriving at the Stade Velodrome, he has developed into the centerpiece of Marseille’s forward line. After scoring 22 goals last season, he has continued in the same vein this year, recording 25 goals and eight assists in 38 matches across all competitions.
His domestic form has stood out in particular, with Greenwood currently topping the Ligue 1 scoring charts on 15 goals. Even though Marseille exited the Champions League earlier than expected, his individual performances have only boosted his reputation, drawing attention from clubs across Europe as well as the Saudi Pro League. Marseille are said to value him at around £42 million — a fee that could pose a challenge for Juventus if approached as a straightforward transfer.
That said, the strong relationship between the two clubs, built through previous dealings, might open the door to a more complex agreement, potentially involving player exchanges. Reports from Tuttosport indicate that Jonathan David or Edon Zhegrova could be used as part of negotiations to reduce the financial outlay. Such an arrangement could benefit all sides, although Manchester United still hold a notable sell-on clause that would influence the final structure of any deal.
Despite being tied to Marseille until 2029, Greenwood’s long-term future remains uncertain. The forward has experienced a period of change at the club, including the exit of Roberto De Zerbi, who played a key role in helping him settle. Should Marseille miss out on Champions League qualification under new manager Habib Beye, Juventus may feel they have a stronger chance of persuading him to make the switch to Italy.

For the time being, however, Greenwood’s focus remains on Marseille, who currently occupy third place in Ligue 1, holding a narrow two-point advantage over fourth-placed Lyon. Their next test comes on Sunday against Lille.
