His 32-year-old trainer ventured into coaching and until December 2025, was the assistant coach of Women Premier League (WPL) side Trinity Starlets before signing for Mozzart Bet giant-killers BB Bread in the same capacity
Gor Mahia midfielder Jackson Dwang' has attributed his current prowess to former Nzoia Sugar captain Vincent Ngesa.
Dwang' has been in great form this season, first for Posta Rangers where his qualities attracted the interest of Kenyan giants, whom he joined in the January mid-season transfer window.
While signing for a club of Gor Mahia’s stature comes with challenges in adaptation, The South Sudanese international has hit the ground running continuing with his great form and establishing himself as a key member of the team and a fan's favourite.

Dwang's form and growth is not by fluke. Aside from the club’s normal training, the former Bandari FC man is under a strict and professional training regime under the tutelage of Ngesa as revealed in an exclusive interview with Mozzart Sport.
“There has been great progress in terms of stability, power and endurance which forms the majority of what we do and what is most important for a player,” said Dwang' on the progress made under Ngesa.
After retiring as a footballer, the 32-year-old ventured into coaching and until December 2025, was the assistant coach of Women Premier League (WPL) side Trinity Starlets before signing for Mozzart Bet giant-killers BB Bread in the same capacity.
Additionally, Ngesa has opened a professional training club, Carbon Fitness, domiciled at Lejona Gym in Nasra Gate D, where he offers professional customized coaching on strength and conditioning, stability, power and endurance with Dwang' a testimony of its importance
"The training helps me to give a consistent performance day in day out and not fluctuating results. I give a consistent level from the first to the last minute and can perform on top for 90 minutes and for every game. I am equally fit and can play even games within two days at a high level,” he stated.
The Gor Mahia man and Ngesa have a friendship traced back to their days at Nzoia United which made it easier for the former to join Carbon Fitness when it opened its doors in January.
With intense training sessions thrice per week, the 23-year-old elucidated the difference with the training offered by his club.
“The difference is that with him, we focus on power, injury prevention and endurance which are largely not covered in team training and form an integral part of a footballer's life to reach their targets.”
At a personal level, Dwang' has always known the importance of extra personalized training which he notes has helped him to stay injury free since 2018 and has expressed his confidence in Carbon Fitness under Ngesa.
“I would urge other players to reach out to him as he will help them to be fit for games and they will surely see the fruits like I am seeing for myself,” noted Dwang'.
On his part, Ngesa, who has also been offering the same services to Gor Mahia defender Lewis Bandi and Mathare United Women star Melisa Vivian also took time to emphasize the importance of his programme.
“I believe that strength and conditioning is one of the major factors that is unfavourable to players and lack of it leads to injuries. I personally retired at a young age due to injuries.
Maximum explosivity comes with endurance and gives athletes great ability to cover ground which does not come naturally. Natural exercise would give up to 70% with the remaining needing extra, modern and professionalized work,” he remarked.
The BB Bread tactician went ahead to shed light on what the training entail.
“Most of the work we do is technique training. We work on techniques that help to reduce hamstring, groin and knee injuries as well as focus on maximum explosivity energy production.
Our platform is for making players withstand injuries, withstand play and improve quality of deliveries provided,” said Ngesa.
