Alpha and Samuel picked injuries against Wazito.

Gor Mahia will learn the extent of the injuries picked by Alpha Onyango and Samuel Onyango on Thursday once the pair undergo further tests.

The two players picked up injuries on Wednesday against Wazito FC at the Thika Sub-County Stadium, the match resulting in a barren draw and consequently ending Gor Mahia's superb run where the club won seven matches on the spin in the league.

Away from the result, Gor have two injury concerns to worry about ahead of their weekend game against Western Stima. Alpha went off just minutes after kick-off with a suspected back injury while the experienced attacker was forced off moments after coming on after clashing with Wazito keeper Peter Odhiambo.

The two will now undergo tests on today to determine how bad the injuries are as confirmed by club head coach Vaz Pinto.

"I don't know yet but they will be checked and we can only hope for the best,” he told Mozzart Sport.

Gor has played a lot of games in the last month. They have averaged a game every three days but the Portuguese tactician refused to blame fatigue or over-playing for the injuries his players sustained in Thika. He however admitted that it has not been an easy run for his charges.

"I cannot say it's about many matches. For Alpha, it's a back problem, not muscle and so maybe someone touched him and for Samuel the same - he clashed with the keeper, but of course, it's not easy, because we have played 13 matches in 37 days and it's not easy for our team," added Pinto.

Up next for Gor is another home match against Western Stima at the Thika Sub-County Stadium. The match will be played on Saturday afternoon.
