The record FKF Premier League champions endured a disappointing 2024/25 campaign, ending the campaign without a title despite the massive investment made in the squad.

This was the first time the club failed to win a title in a season since 2016 when Tusker dominated by clinching both the league and Cup.

The sacking of the entire technical bench marked the beginning of what is expected to be a significant restructuring process.

In a statement posted on the club’s official Facebook page, Gor announced the opening of the head coach position and invited qualified candidates to submit applications.

The announcement outlined strict qualifications for the role, requiring applicants to possess either a CAF A Pro Diploma or a UEFA Pro Licence.

Beyond coaching credentials, the club emphasized key attributes for potential candidates: a proven record of success in a competitive league, strong leadership and communication skills, the ability to handle high-performance athletes under pressure, and a firm grasp of modern football tactics, sports science, and data analytics.

The club also stated that experience in African leagues or CAF competitions, multilingual proficiency, and a solid background in youth football development would serve as added advantages.

Among the outlined responsibilities, the incoming coach will be tasked with leading the team’s technical and tactical development in alignment with the club’s long-term vision.

The successful candidate will also collaborate with the technical team, club management, and officials on player recruitment while ensuring compliance with club policies and broader FKF, CAF, and FIFA regulations.

Interested applicants are required to submit a CV, cover letter, and copies of relevant coaching certificates via email to [email protected]

The deadline for submissions has been set for 10 July.
