Trailing the leading duo, five teams, AFC Leopards, KCB FC, Kenya Police FC, Tusker FC and Posta Rangers , are all tied on 21 points, occupying positions second to sixth respectively.

At the foot of the table, Kariobangi Sharks remain bottom with 11 points and are joined in the relegation zone by Sofapaka and Ulinzi Stars, who have 12 and 13 points respectively.

Nairobi United vs Gor Mahia

League newcomers Nairobi United welcome Kenyan giants Gor Mahia in the standout fixture of the day at Dandora Stadium, kicking off at 4pm.

The match was initially scheduled for the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, but was moved to Dandora due to the unavailability of both Kasarani and Nyayo National Stadium.

This encounter is a repeat of the 2025 Mozzart Bet Cup final, where Nairobi United stunned Gor Mahia with a 2-1 victory to book a CAF Confederation Cup slot and condemn K’Ogalo to a trophyless season.

Gor Mahia come into the match after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kakamega Homeboyz in midweek, a result that ended their three-match winless run.

Head coach Charles Akonnor admitted his side was not at their best but expressed satisfaction with the return to winning ways, noting it would boost confidence in their title push.

As Gor Mahia seek revenge, Nairobi United,11th on the table with 16 points, will draw motivation from their historic cup triumph as they face the record champions for the first time in league action.

The Johnson Sakaja-backed side also bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Tusker FC, ending a five-match winless streak.

Head coach Nicholas Muyoti expects a tactical contest.

We expect a very tough match against the league leaders. Both teams are coming off wins, so it will be a competitive and tactical encounter, but we are prepared,” Muyoti told Nairobi United Media.

“Gor Mahia are strong in transitions from defence to attack, and we have prepared for that.”

Captain John Otieno urged fans to turn up in large numbers.

“We have prepared well and are ready. We are calling on our fans to fill the stadium and support us, and we will work hard to give them positive results,” said Otieno.

APS Bomet vs Tusker FC

At Kericho Green Stadium, APS Bomet will host Tusker FC from 2pm.

Both sides are desperate for maximum points, though for different reasons. Tusker, who have 21 points, are aiming for a win that could potentially push them to the top of the table and keep them firmly in the title race.

APS Bomet, placed 15th, are fighting to improve their standing after a slow start to the season and boost their survival hopes.

The law enforcers surrendered a 2-1 halftime lead to lose 4-2 to KCB FC in midweek and will be keen to make amends, banking on home support to upset the Brewers.

Tusker, meanwhile, are also coming off a 1-0 defeat to Nairobi United and will be eager to end the year on a positive note.

APS Bomet will be without head coach Benedict Wanjala, who is currently serving a suspension following his sending off against KCB FC.

Bandari FC vs Mathare United

The final match of the day will see Bandari FC take on Mathare United at the KPA Sports Club, Mbaraki, from 3pm.

The Dockers head into the fixture on a poor run of form and are winless in their last five matches, leaving them 13th on the table with 14 points.

Mathare United, on the other hand, have enjoyed a mixed campaign and currently sit 10th with 18 points after securing a win over Sofapaka in their last outing.
