‘Garnacho is a clown, Bruno is always whining’

Copenhagen players were brutal with their assessment of the United's players
Alejandro Garnacho was a young revelation at the end of last season. The young Argentinian always used any chance given by Erik ten Hag, but this season, he hasn’t been able to replicate his good form. Instead, he ended up in the media for all the wrong reasons. After Andre Onana’s penalty heroics against Copenhagen in Round 3, he posted a photo of him on his social media accounts and added a monkey emoji, which raised media outburst and possible FA sanctions. In the same match, when Copenhagen got the penalty in the 97th minute, the Argentinian was filmed "plowing" the penalty spot with his boots before Jordan Larsson took the penalty and missed.
And according to Copenhagen players, he was ready to do it again this week in Denmark, when the home team was awarded the penalty. Kevin Diks and Viktor Claesson 'grabbed' Garnacho and warned the young Argentina international not to try the same trick again while defender Denis Vavro slammed the Argentinian as ‘childish’ and ‘a clown’.
“I saw that he tried to do something about the penalty kick, but Kevin Diks stood in front and blocked. It is the second time Garnacho has done this. And then on our track? To me, he is a clown. He has the mentality of a child when he tries something like this again. In an away game. One thing is at home in the 97th minute, but here in the first half. I don't understand him trying to do that” Denis Vavro told Bold.dk.
Viktor Claesson explained what happened when the penalty kick was awarded.
“It was after the last match when he stepped into the spot. We grabbed him and told him not to approach the spot – and then he shouted something to Diogo, but I didn't understand what he said. We hadn't talked about it, but when we got the penalty Diogo immediately said that I should take care of the penalty spot. I did and Garnacho was on his way” said Claesson.
Another Copenhagen player also had ‘problems’ with Manchester’s players. Former Southampton footballer Mohamed Elyounoussi was among the scorers in a 4-3 win and he revealed his interaction with United’s captain Bruno Fernandes, who complained when the referee pointed to the spot.
“I think everyone who has seen United and who has seen him knows that he is a player who is always with the referees complaining and whining. I tried to get him away from the referee. I said: "It’s done". It was nothing more than that. I don’t like players who go forward and try to influence the referees” said former Southampton star.
