Garnacho "plowing" the penalty spot: What a disgusting character, this is how a brat behaves

While United fans largely celebrate the move that helped Andre Onana save their team, the football professionals condemn it and call for punishment
There is that special breed of people whose appearance causes a certain kind of discomfort, and Alejandro Garnacho is definitely among them.
The man who is only in Manchester United's starting line-up thanks to Jadon Sancho being sidelined and Antony having other concerns off the pitch has drawn a severe dose of scorn from a good portion of the football public for a video clip that emerged after the tight win over Copenhagen (1-0). The Argentinian was filmed "plowing" the penalty spot with his boots before Jordan Larsson took the penalty, which probably had a certain effect on the further outcome, that is, Andre Onana preventing the equalizer deep in stoppage time.
Manchester United fans joked about Garnacho after the game and mostly thanked him for taking advantage of a moment of inattention by the referee Marco Guida and the Copenhagen players to dig up a spot eleven meters from the goal, while drawing the scorn of the professional public.

The most vocal among them was former Arsenal midfielder Kim Kallstrom, who today works as an expert consultant for the Swedish television station TV 4 Play. The former Swedish international did not spare words of criticism against the Argentine and called on the superior football authorities to react and severely punish him.
"What a disgusting character," Kallstrom said, as reported by the local Expressen. "This is so childish, this is how a brat behaves."
While Garnacho has been praised by United supporters, manager Erik Ten Hag says he did not see what his player did in key moments.
"I didn't see it, probably neither did the judge. I don't know what to say," said the Dutchman shortly.
Not long after Garnacho "dug in" the white spot, Larsson shot to Onana left. His intention was read by the Cameroonian as he dived into the same corner and prevented Copenhagen from getting a much-deserved point.
Manchester United struggled for more than 70 minutes and largely defended against the Danish team, until unexpected hero Harry Maguire capitalized on a moment of inattention and headed Christian Eriksen's cross straight into the net. To top it all off, the evening paying tribute to the recently deceased Sir Bobby Charlton was rounded off by André Onana with a key save.
With this victory, United are holding on tome chance of qualifying to the knockout stages of the Champions League. Although, if they continue playing like they did last night - they do not deserve it...
