Reading Time: 2min | Sun. 28.09.25. | 07:24

While Bandari did a double over Shabana in the 2023/24 season, the Kisii-based side picked four points from the fixture last season.

The FKF Premier League match week two continues with two matches lined up for today, Sunday 28 September, in two ends of the country.

Shabana has made a long trip to the coastal city of Mombasa where they will square it out with Bandari at the KPA Sports Club, Mbaraki, from 1500 hrs.

The Glamour Boys, who had a great last season by their own standards, finishing fifth on the log after courting relegation in the previous one, are angling for their maiden league title this season.

The mission began on the right note following their 4-2 home win in their season opener against league newbies APS Bomet.

Coach Peter Okidi will be looking to build on that and soothe the fatigue and intrigues of the long journey with a win over the home side.

The Dockers, on the other hand, will be keen to use their home advantage to record their first league win of the season.

Bandari were held to a goalless draw by Kariobangi Sharks in their season opener and will therefore also be looking for their first goal of the season.

While Bandari did a double over Shabana in the 2023/24 season, the Kisii-based side picked four points from the fixture last season: a 1-1 draw in Mombasa before handing them a 3-1 beating at Gusii Stadium.

APS Bomet vs Murang'a Seal

In the other league match of the day, APS Bomet will play host to Murang'a Seal in a home match held away from home at the Gusii Stadium from 1400 hrs.

APS are unable to enjoy the full advantage of playing at home after Bomet Stadium failed to meet the minimum requirements of hosting a top-tier match. The stadium is currently under renovation.

The law enforcers go into the match seeking their first-ever win in the FKFPL after suffering a 4-2 defeat to Shabana at the same venue last weekend.

Seal will also be keen to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat at home to military side Ulinzi Stars in match week one.

The two teams last met in 2022 when they were both playing in the National Super League (NSL), with the law enforcers taking four points from Seal.
