Nzoia will also be hunting for second win in the season when they take on Muhoroni Youth at the Muhoroni Stadium
Five matches are scheduled to be played on Friday as the 2023–2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League enters round two this weekend.
The competition got underway last weekend, with all clubs in action save for Kakamega Homeboyz, who were supposed to take on KCB.
However, the game was postponed as Homeboyz were away in Libya for a CAF Confederation Cup assignment against Al Hilal Benghazi.
KCB, will hope to start the season with three points in the bag when they take on AFC Leopards today at Kasarani Stadium.
Defensive midfielder Brian Ochieng understands that the game will not be an easy one as both teams will be out to bag maximum points.
However, he remains positive that his side will bank three points at the end of the day.
“We are anticipating a tough encounter, but we are ready for it. We want to start with a win,” said the former FC Talanta man.
Leopards didn’t have one of the best starts as the former champions were held to a barren draw by a ten-man FC Talanta last Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium.
The club’s assistant captain, Jaffari Owiti revealed that the team spent the better part of the week polishing the forward line that fired blanks.
“We have tried our best to rectify the mistakes that denied us three points last weekend. We want to win today and get our season moving in the direction we anticipated before it started. A win today will be good for our fans as well,” said the winger.
Similarly, Kenya Police and Posta Rangers will also be gunning for first wins in the season when the two clash at the Police Pavilion grounds in South C.
Police were held to a barren draw by Kariobangi Sharks, while Posta labored for a similar scoreline against Bidco United in game one.
The 2009 league winners, Sofapaka are scheduled to host Bandari at the Kasarani Annex. Sofapaka drew Gor Mahia 1-1, while Bandari lost 1-0 to Tusker last weekend.
Talanta have a date with Shabana at the Nyayo National Stadium, while Muhoroni Youth tackle Nzoia in their backyard.
Shabana lost 1-0 to Murang’a Seals, while Nzoia beat Ulinzi Stars 2-1 in day one.
All matches are set to kick off at 3pm.
