K’Ogalo, who have won their last three matches without conceding, will face another test of their strength when they face John Kamau’s side, also in decent nick having overcome Shabana in their backyard last weekend.

Speaking ahead of the match, Gor Mahia Assistant Coach Kobi Bismark-Mensah said his side’s experience was the “trump-card” in winning their latest instalment at Kasarani Stadium (1600 EAT),even while maintaining the need for caution.

“We are going to approach the game with all seriousness,” he said. “We believe in preparation, and we have a bit of experience and exposure which should help us win.”

Assessing the Slum Boys, Mensah added: “We never underrate any side. I have watched them more than five times, seen their clips, they are a good side. We only have to play above ourselves again to win.”

The Ghanaian tactician admitted his side had been playing good football this season, with their only blip being the 1-0 loss to Bidco United on the opening day of the season.

Having struggled with match fitness, Mensah expects midfielder Alpha Onyango to be in line for a start on Thursday, with Ghanaian forward Ebenezer Adukwaw a game-time decision, following his rapid recovery from a shoulder injury sustained during Gor Mahia’s 1-0 win over Bandari in the ODM@20 Tournament on Friday, 10 October.

Former AFC Leopards defender Lewis Bandi will, however, not be involved.

In the day’s early kickoff, third-placed Posta Rangers will face lowly Murang’a Seal at Kasarani Annex from 1300 EAT.

Posta, who were unbeaten in their first four games of the season, crashed back to earth last weekend after suffering a 3-0 humbling to Gor Mahia, and will be out to make amends against a side placed 17th, and with only one win so far this campaign.

The win for Seal came against fellow relegation-battlers APS Bomet, and a fourth straight defeat will cause early alarm.
