Having hit a speed bump last weekend, K'Ogalo will fancy their meeting with Posta as they look to claw back to league contention

Kenya Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia will look to bounce back to winning ways when they come up against bottom-placed Posta Rangers in one of three matches on Saturday afternoon.

K’Ogalo hit a bump last weekend when they were held to a barren draw by Kakamega Homeboyz, but will fancy a meeting with a Posta side which slipped to the foot of the log after Bidco’s draw on Friday, and has only four matches this season.

Standing at the risk of falling further away from the leading duo of Kenya Police and Tusker, K’Ogalo will need to summon the forces behind their 3-0 triumph over Sammy Omollo’s side in the first-leg, while seeking to extend their five-match dominance in recent seasons.

For Posta, it is all about finding a spring in their step that could translate into league survival.

“I have players who have shown a very strong mentality and want to survive more than I do,” Pamzo extolled his players recently.

A tough test awaits at Dandora Stadium from 1600 EAT.

Elsewhere at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos, 14th-placed Mathare United take on Talanta FC, in an early relegation six-pointer.

Talanta, thanks to their heavy victory over AFC Leopards, jumped a place to 15th, but are only separated from the bottom by goal-difference.

Mathare, albeit with a game in hand, are only three points above the drop-zone, making the tie all the more key.

"My humble request to the players is for them to target nothing but a win,” Mathare United coach John Kamau said. “It will be an emotional day as it is our first game since Bob's passing, so let us honour his memory with a win.”

The game takes place from 1500 EAT.

Meanwhile at Mumias Complex, Kakamega Homeboyz will look to extend their eight-game unbeaten run when they come up against Mara Sugar from 1500 EAT.

Homeboyz will miss the services of skipper Brian Eshihanda, who sustained a head injury in the game against Gor Mahia.
