Today marks the climactic finale of the Football Kenya Federation Division One League season, promising a day filled with intense action and high stakes.

In Zone A, all eyes are on the battle for promotion, where Fortune Sacco and 3K FC are poised to secure spots in the National Super League (NSL) next season.

Under the guidance of Ugandan coach Michael Otimong, Fortune Sacco must triumph over Omax FC at Serani Sports Club to solidify their NSL status.

Meanwhile, 3K FC faces Kibra United at Moi Stadium in Embu, needing a victory and some luck with Fortune dropping points to clinch promotion.

The drama extends to Changamwe Estate Grounds, where Simba Apparel confronts local rivals Young Bulls in a match critical for the relegation struggle.

Simba must secure a victory by a significant margin (six goals and above) and hope for favourable results at Moi (3K vs. Kibra United) to avoid slipping into the fourth tier.

In additional matchups, Ruiru Hotstars will welcome Kabati Youth to Imani Grounds, while Dandora Youth takes on Kenya Navy at the newly inaugurated Dandora Stadium.

Equity will provide entertainment as they face off against Malindi United at Stima Club, while Kibera Soccer anticipates a showdown with Zetech Titans at The Wolves Den.

In Zone B, although promotion slots are secured, the spotlight shifts to the survival battle, with Transfoc FC, St. Joseph’s Youth, and Bondo United fighting to stay afloat.

Sunderland Naivasha and Muhoroni Young have already faced demotion, while APS Bomet claimed the championship title and a ticket to the upcoming NSL campaign, with MOFA taking the playoffs ticket.

Bondo United faces a daunting challenge against Bungoma Superstars at Bungoma High School Grounds, requiring at least a draw to avoid relegation.

However, the Siaya-based club faces an uphill struggle, having gone five matches without a win, while their opponents boast an impressive four-game unbeaten streak.

At Kamukunji Grounds, city rivals clash in a must-win encounter for St. Joseph’s Youth as they battle Nakuru Bucks.

Buoyed by a recent victory against Compel FC, St. Joseph's Youth aims to secure maximum points and hopes for favourable results when Transfoc takes on Muhoroni Young at Equip College Grounds to ensure their league survival.

Other matches in Zone B include GFE 105 welcoming last season’s playoff finalists Zoo FC at Kipchoge Keino Grounds, Compel facing Sunderland Naivasha at Ilala Panpaper Stadium, Green Commandos visiting Kiminini Combined at Ndura Sports Complex, and Vegpro concluding the season against Sigalagala Polythetic Football Club at Longonot Horticultural Grounds.

The stage is set for an exhilarating day of football, with all matches kicking off at 1:00 PM EAT.
