Recently acquired GFE 105 FC center back Isaac Munyasia has tipped his new home to flourish in the third tier and subsequently earn promotion to the National Super League at their first time of asking.

GFE earned promotion to the Football Kenya Federation Division One league after thrashing Ichuni Combined in a relegation - promotion playoff staged at Eldoret Showgrounds last month.

The win marked the Eldoret club’s revival and return to the competitive league after more than a four season’s absence in footballing scenes.

Immediately after confirming their status in the third division in Kenya, the club embarked on a recruitment drive that saw them rope in the services of highly rated players among them Munyasia who joined from National Super League outfit Gusii FC on a season long deal.

Munyasia, who is not new to the club, is adamant the Eldoret situated club will punch above their weights and scale to new heights in one of the most competitive leagues in the country.

The former West Indies star defender has vowed to use experience gained in the second tier to propel the club towards success.

"I believe in this project, I am going to use my experience in the NSL to try and introduce a winning mentality in this team," he said.

Munyasia also noted that the club had brought in talented players whom he believes have all it takes to challenge for the championship alongside league veterans.

"I feel like the talents signed by the club are more appealing and can foster us to success."

Apart from the towering defender, the Bright Kirya coached outfit have brought in six new players as well as retaining the whole of the team that guided them to the historic return to Division One football.

Among the talents linking up with the club are Tumkas FC duo of creative midfielder Dickson Rabari and striker Boniface Otieno.

Others are goalkeeper Solomon Maina from West Indies Star FC-Eldoret, winger David Shiveka and full back Vincent Owino from fourth tier side Dela Sharks.
