AFC Leopards attacking midfielder Kelly Madada has described the feeling of his two assists against Tusker as better than scoring.

Madada produced a man of the match performance, providing two assists and dictating play in midfield as AFC Leopards saw off Tusker FC 4-1 in a high octane clash played on Wednesday 11 December at Dandora Stadium.

Leopards’ goals were scored by Ovella Ochieng, Sydney Lokale, Victor Omune and Boniface Munyendo while Tusker found a consolation through Ugandan Boban Zirintusa.

Speaking to Mozzart Sport after the match, the youngster spoke of his impact in the match, and the strong performance in his neighbour-hood and in front of his family.

“I feel even better than a person who has scored. I have been directly involved in the win,” said Madada.

The Shanderema High School alumnus was making his first start in the league after coming on as a substitute in previous occasions. He said that was a product of hard work

“It has been a good match. It was my first start and I thank God and the coach for giving me this chance. It is an opportunity that I have been working on and hoping for for a long time.

It is great for me. There are lots of people hoping to get the chance that I have but they do not have it. Once again, I want to thank the fans for their support.”

Leopards fans sang his praises during and after the match, appreciating his contribution to the team. The youngster is now a man on a mission to conquer the FKF Premier League and make a name for himself

“It motivates me. I am a young player who is new in the football industry and so when I hear fans shout my name, I feel like I should not let them down. I just need to work hard and make a name for myself. The name does not just come, it is a result of hard work.

"I personally believe in myself. Also, I always put God first and live by faith. Even starting this match, it has been God,” he stated.
