The transfer process was initiated in December 2025, according to invitation documents seen by Mozzart Sport, and has now been completed.

The two players were expected to land in the country earlier this week and are understood to have been closely following the team’s matches since the start of the year.

While Mozzart Sport has not been able to access their contracts, sources indicate that both players have signed one-year deals with the club.

Currently languishing in the relegation zone in 19th place, the former top-flight side is pulling out all the stops to preserve its status in Kenya’s second tier.

The arrival of the two international signings is expected to inject much-needed quality, belief, and experience into a squad that has struggled for consistency this season.

The headline acquisition is 21-year-old Ngounou Miguel, a highly rated forward from Cameroon’s renowned AS Fortuna Academy, an institution known for producing technically gifted players for the global game.

Speaking after completing his move, Kameni described the switch as a defining moment in his career.

Joining Vihiga United is a massive challenge for me, but it’s exactly the kind of test I thrive on. I want our fans to know that we are ready to fight. My teammates and I are fully committed to this mission; we will leave everything on the pitch to ensure this club secures its status and stays where it belongs,” he said.

Joining Kameni in the new-look Vihiga attack is Kiggundu. The 21-year-old Ugandan winger brings valuable international experience, having previously featured for Filipino side Mendiola FC before a stint with Calvary FC in the Uganda Premier League.

Kiggundu’s pace, ability to stretch defenses, and exposure to different footballing environments are expected to add balance and versatility to Vihiga’s tactical approach as the club navigates a demanding second half of the season.

With just 15 points from 17 matches, Vihiga sits narrowly above bottom-placed Mwatate United.

Club management has identified strengthening the spine of the team as a priority, and the additions of Miguel and Kiggundu are viewed as the first phase of a broader Relegation Rescue Mission.

Both players are expected to be available for immediate selection as Vihiga aim to close the six-point gap separating them from mid-table safety.
