The raining sessions will be under director Charles Okwemba as from Tuesday morning.
A heavily rotated squad and a proper drubbing in front of the home fans was Mombasa Elite's tale on Sunday as they soaked in four goals against Migori Youth at Mbaraki Sports Club to record four defeats in five matches and sink even lower in the league ranking.
The aftermath of the beating is, however, not different from what the club loyalists expected, as Mozzart Sport can exclusively report that the Mombasa-based club has parted ways with the entire technical bench.
Speaking to Mozzart Sport, a strong source at the club revealed that Coach Patrick Nyale, goalkeeper’s trainer Sunil Shah, team doctor Moses Okongo, and the assistant coach were all requested to clear and surrender the club merchandise immediately after the match and wait for communication from the club hierarchy.
The source further stated that the team decision-makers were angered by the decision of the technical bench to rotate the squad, knowing the caliber of the opponent they were set to face. In an unforeseen turn of events, Elite handed league debuts to ten players in what was a crucial match that many had expected the club to fight for maximum points after a series of poor results.
“The whole technical bench was ordered to surrender anything they owe the club, including the merchandise, after the game on Sunday and wait for calls from the head office, which has not happened since the close of business on Monday,” offered the source, who sort to remain anonymous
“The management was obviously mad at the team rotation that had a weak team taking to the field in what was a must-win match for them,” he added.
However, when contacted to shed light on the latest development, the club's technical director, Charles Okwemba stated that nothing had been confirmed and did not divulge more information.
All eyes are on the club's management to see their pick for the team's technical bench as they await to take on Nairobi United on Saturday at the Mbaraki Sports Club in their next league match.
Patrick Nyale leaves the club after two seasons, having taken over from Mohammed Kassim. Formerly, Modern Coast Rangers Elite are placed fourteenth with 10 points after 11 rounds and sit three points clear of the red zone.
