For the first time in history, as many as five Premier League sides won a trophy, proving England's top tier's quality and competitiveness

It can be discussed whether this Premier League season was good or bad, exciting or dull, high-quality or not... Yet, there's one thing nobody can deny - it was historic.

For the first time in EPL history, five different teams won a trophy, and thanks to them, the 2024/2025 campaign in England's top tier will go down in history books.

For only the second time in the last eight years, no team in England won the double, as the three domestic trophies had three different winners.

Liverpool dominantly clinched the Premier League with a ten-point advantage over the vice-champions, Arsenal. The Reds were close to claiming the EFL Cup as well, reaching the final, but they ultimately fell short against Newcastle, allowing the Magpies to win their first trophy after 70 years.

Finally, Crystal Palace ended a 119-year trophy drought, winning the club's maiden piece of silverware, though nothing would have been different if Man City won it, as the EPL would still have five different trophy winners.

Failure in the Champions League, the most elite European competition, has to be a pebble in English teams' shoes, though winning two out of three UEFA trophies can't be called a bad result. On the contrary, the EPL sides completely dominated the Europa League, providing the football world with the first "all-English" European final after the 2021 UCL trophy match between Chelsea and Man City.

Finally, what everyone expected from this season's Conference League in the end happened, as an utmost favourite, Chelsea, triumphed, thrashing Real Betis 4-1 last night.

That way, the Blues became the fifth Premier League team with a trophy in the 2024/2025 season and wrote another page in the history books of English football.
