He sustained a knee ligament injury against Rennes in the Europa Conference League

Leicester City and the Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi has been ruled out until the end of the season after sustaining a knee ligament injury against Rennes in the Europa Conference League.

CHELSEA - BRENTFORD

The Foxes coach Brendan Rodgers confirmed the team's latest news on Thursday during his press conference.

"Wilfred Ndidi will be out for the season, it's a shame for us, but he'll get ready for next season. It's unfortunate. He's been a brilliant player for me in my time here. He picked up a nasty injury that has had to have surgery on, and he'll recover now until June," he said.

Ndidi also missed the decisive World Cup Qualifiers playoffs, which saw his Nigeria being eliminated by Ghana.
