Leicester City midfielder could leave King Power Stadium in a 70 million USD deal
The interesting Leicester side keeps surprising the greats of Premier League by always battling it for the Champions League spots. They still hold some of that pizzazz they had when they won the title and are one of the most likeable squads in the league. There are several factors to their success. Naming a few - talented manager Brendan Rogers and the tireless midfielder Wilfried Ndidi. However, some bad news are on the horizon as both could leave the Foxes.
Rumours circulate that Rogers could be the one replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford as the Norwegian is slowly losing his grip on the Red Devils.
Another talk of the town is that Leicester's holding midfielder Ndidi is a massive target of Real Madrid. After the Spanish giants brought Eduardo Camavinga during the latest transfer window, pairing the Nigerian and the Frenchman could a major deal in their plans to prepare the central section of the pitch for the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
Heavily speculated departure of Ndidi is not something Foxes would like to see however they have been one of the teams in Europe who are not backing out from selling their players for massive amounts after purchasing them for much much lower numbers.
Belgian Genk sold the Lagos born player to Leicester City in 2016 in a 23 million USD deal and if the above mentioned transfer does happen and Ndidi leaves to the Spanish capital, Leicester will again profit immensely and head over to scouting another diamond in the rough. They have been doing great so far in that alley.
According to a recent report from Spanish Fichajes, Los Blancos are eager to provide Casemiro with some much-needed competition. It has been claimed that Real Madrid has been long-time admirers of the Nigerian and have followed his progress for the last three years.
If the Spanish giants are to tempt the Foxes into allowing their talented defensive midfielder to leave, it is expected that they’ll do so by way of an eye-watering 70 million USD bid.
Leicester sold Harry Maguire to Manchester United for eye-watering 116 million USD (the most expensive defender transfer ever) and Algeria captain Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City for 90 million USD. Foxes executives know how to do business, that's for sure.
