The former Côte d'Ivoire International guided Les Elephants to bagging the coveted AFCON trophy and has now been rewarded with a permanent deal

Emerse Faé has been officially appointed as the head coach of the Ivory Coast national football team, as announced by the president of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), Idriss Diallo, on Monday.

The confirmation came at the Orange Côte d'Ivoire headquarters in Abidjan, marking the culmination of a brief interim period.

Following the departure of Jean-Louis Gasset, Faé assumed the role of interim coach and garnered widespread acclaim for his adept management of the team. Under his guidance, the Ivorian squad underwent a remarkable transformation, culminating in their victory at the AFCON 2023 tournament.
