Will he stay under the wing of the Red Bull family or will he look for pastures new?

New coach, new ideas, new players... RB Leipzig have already made several signings for the next season (Simakan, Guardiol, Brobbey), but the Bulls of east Germany are desperately in need of a classic striker.

In the season that just passed, they had 16 different goal scorers which reveals quite a problem.

No player had a double-digit of goals, and two classic strikers - Yussuf Poulsen and Alexander Sorloth scored only five each.

The plan is evident: RB Leipzig need sharpen up the tip of their offensive spearhead.

The fate of the mentioned Sorloth has been in question for a long time (return to Turkey is mentioned, Trabzon and Besiktas are both interested) so a member of the Red Bull brotherhood that had an impressive season imposed as one of the options.

Zambian Patson Daka (22) from RB Salzburg had the best season in his career - he played 42 games and participated in 46 goals (34 goals + 12 assists, with a goal every 72 minutes), attracting the attention of many clubs. Few months ago, Milan showed interest, then Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool came into play, while in the last few days even Roma have been mentioned, stating Daka is a huge wish of Jose Mourinho.

During all this time, Leipzig carefully monitored Daka's development. Logic implies that the most realistic option is to move the young African to Germany, because these are clubs run by the same company (Red Bull).

However, the case of Erling Halland reminds us that even in such cases, complications can occur.

German outlet Bild states that Salzburg would not release their top scorer for less than 30 million USD (3.2 billion KSH). If a deal is struck, Daka would become the second most expensive signing in the history of Leipzig, right after Guinean Nabi Keita, who also arrived from the ranks of the Austrian champion.

An important factor for the German club in the race for this immensely talented forward will certainly be the fact that Leipzig were recently taken over by Jesse Marsch, an American expert under whose leadership Daka exploded last season at Salzburg.
