After their catastrophic Europa League campaign, Ligue 1 side Nice became the first French club to finish the group stage of a European competition without having a lead in any game at least once!

Numerous strange scenarios have happened in European competitions throughout the years. It often occurred that a club ends the competition winless or without a scored goal, but what Nice did in the UEFA Europa League has not ever been seen, at least in France.

Namely, the Ligue 1 side ended their abysmal campaign in the UEL in the penultimate (35th) spot with three points won in eight games and a 7:16 goal difference. Against Ferencvaros and Elfsborg, they were scoreless, while they spent the rest of the games chasing the rivals. The only team that finished below the crew from Cote d'Azur in the UEL table was Qarabag, though even they noted one win. And if all this wasn't odd enough, just remember that Nice are fourth in Ligue 1...
