Napoli boss allegedly has Scott McTominay on his radar

After Axel Tuanzebe and Edinson Cavani, who have most recently worn both Man United's and Napoli's jerseys, another player could join this group and become its fifth member (Laurent Blanc and William Prunier also represented both clubs). Only this time, he would move straight from Old Trafford to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Namely, Antonio Conte is reportedly interested in bringing in the Red Devils' midfielder Scott McTominay.

The Scot's contract expires in one year, and even though United have an extension option, they will hardly activate it. Hence, this could be the last opportunity to earn something from the 27-year-old's transfer. The financial details of the potential deal are still unknown, but the Neapolitans are currently the only party interested in McTominay. Fulham were also keen on signing him, but the Cottagers eventually opted for Burnley's Sander Berge, whose transfer should be announced soon.

McTominay is Man United's child. He joined the club in 2002 at the age of six and moved through all the youth categories. In 2017, he was introduced to the first team and made 254 appearances, netting 29 times. Given that the Scot has spent his entire career at Old Trafford, his eventual departure would undoubtedly be very emotional for the player and the club.

While McTominay's fate is not decided yet, Facundo Pellistri is set to leave the club and sign with the Greek Panathinaikos in a transfer worth around 6 million euros. The 22-year-old Uruguayan joined United four years ago from his homeland's side Penarol but spent only one season in England and the other three on loans at Alaves and Granada.
