The match marked his first competitive action in nearly two months, after joining the Brewers from Rwandan giants Rayon Sports during the mid-season transfer window.

Ndzila had spent over a month without playing, focusing on regaining fitness, and his debut had been further delayed by a slight ankle injury.

Reflecting on his arrival in Kenya and the significance of the debut, Ndzila spoke about his personal connection with the country.

Having previously played in Kenya during his time with Rayon Sports, including a match against Gor Mahia in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup, he expressed his intention to create more positive memories with Tusker FC.

“I have good memories of this place, and I want to create more. It is an honour to join Tusker, and I am looking forward to helping the team,” said the shot-stopper.

The debut was made even more memorable by Ndzila keeping a clean sheet in the match, contributing to the team’s victory.

Speaking to the club's media, he described his satisfaction at finally being on the field and participating in the Kenyan league.

“I am really happy to have finally played my first match for Tusker FC. I have been on the bench before, and it is great to get to play in the Kenyan league.

I enjoyed my debut more so because we kept a clean sheet and won with two goals,” he said.

Ndzila added that he approached the match with calmness and confidence, focusing on performing to the best of his ability.

He expressed determination to compete for his place in future matches and maintain the team’s strong defensive form.

“I wasn’t nervous at all. I was just calm and played the game with confidence. Now I am excited, and I am looking forward to fighting for another place in the next match and keeping a second consecutive clean sheet.”

He also commented on the goalkeeping competition within Tusker FC, noting that the presence of multiple skilled players motivates everyone to remain sharp and prepared.
