The tickets will be issued ahead of the upcoming clash between Kenya and Angola set for Thursday, 7 August at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in the ongoing 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
According to KEFOFA, all the tickets are silver, which retail at Ksh500 each, with the federation spending Ksh250,000 for that exercise.
The tickets will be distributed through KEFOFA County Coordinators and Branches affiliated to KEFOFA, with registered members getting the first priority and the rest issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
KEFOFA President Francis Liboyi confirmed the purchase, noting that it is part of their effort to support local fans.
“As a fan's body, it is our responsibility to step in the gap for fans across the country and for this historic tournament and the Angola game, we have managed to buy 500 tickets to be distributed to Kenyan football Fans,” Liboyi told Mozzart Sport.
On his part, KEFOFA Patron Kalonzo Musyoka accused the government of making ticket purchase difficult but promised to support fans to get tickets for Kenya's matches against Morocco and Zambia.
“Congratulations to Francis Liboyi, president of the Kenya Football Fans Federation (KEFOFA). You were able to get silver tickets for the Angola 🇦🇴 vs Kenya 🇰🇪 match on Thursday, August 7, 2025, for our fans, despite the enormous difficulty caused by the regime's extensively orchestrated wholesale ticket-buying strategy.
I understand that the Kenya 🇰🇪 vs Morocco 🇲🇦 match on August 10 at Kasarani is 'Sold Out'. We will do our best to ensure fans get the match day tickets for that game, and the Kenya 🇰🇪 vs Zambia 🇿🇲 on August 17 at Kasarani,” Kalonzo posted on his Facebook account.
Harambee Stars head into the Angola game on the back of a 1-0 victory over DR Congo in their opening match played on Sunday, 3 August at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
